Rosy-thrush Tanager (Rhodinocichla rosea)
This painting is based on my first encounter with this species in the wild. It was mostly as you see it, moist understory and lots of plant tangle.
It was a good birding day as I also saw a Black-bellied Wren (Pheugopedius fasciatoventris) at the same time. The bonus of the day was birding with good friends and companions
